Personality: Shy, quiet and down to earth, Mari keeps to herself partially because she is not very social, but mostly because she is working so hard at the ranch. Yet, when you become her friend and really get to know her, Mari is a very playful and loving person; a bit of a klutz, but eager and wants to help as much as she can. Self concious, and often apologizes too much, but her intentions are alwasy good; she dislikes fighting and can't use a weapon, but great with her farming tools. Loves animals, children and soft things. Fears wolves and is weary of unfamiliar dogs. Likes to keep her house neat, clean and organized and will get upset ONLY if you track dirt inside.

History: Mari's father was the owner of a small retail business in a big city when he met Mari's mother. After the birth of Mari's brothers, her father purchased a plot of land on Affection Atoll and the family moved out to live away from the crowded city. Mari's family put a lot of time and money into owning and operating their ranch, but an unfortunate string of events plunged them into debt, heartache and lead to the untimely death of her father. Mari's mother, who had to care for her daughter and two twin boys all on her own, eventually came to consider selling the ranch and moving her family to her hometown. Mari, in one final effort, begged her mother to give her some time to try and turn things around at the ranch. Starting life anew at the ranch, with Saint, her Lillipup as her only companion, will Mari be able to turn a profit? But, more importantly, what is her true motivation for such a daring act from so timid a Flaaffy?
While working in the city, Mari's mother, a Beatuy Salon owner and skin specialist, taught Mari that its important to take care of her skin and hair using natural products and showed her how to give herself professional spa treatments using homemade facial creams and bath beads. Mari tries to give herself spa treatments as often as she is able, but, because working at the Ranch is taking up most of her time, she is a little sad that she can't find as much time as she used to before she moved to the ranch. Mari almost drown falling in a pond in the city when she was a little girl. Her father rescued her and, once they had moved to their ranch years later, was trying to help Mari become more adjusted to water. To help, he took his daughter fishing every chance he got. He was an excellent fisherman and was proud to see that his daughter had a knack for his hobby. Mari regrets that her father was unable to teach her brothers, but she promised them that they could learn how when they visit. Mari is very close with her brothers, especially since her father's passing, and writes them letters to keep in touch. She had pictures they have drawn of her hung on the wall in her bedroom and is hoping to send them photographs of the Ranch if she ever gets the chance.

• Saint protects Mari and her livestock, roaming her property at night to keep watch for Wolves. He's not very fast or strong right now, but he has a lot of spirit and is determined to keep Mari safe.
• Saint was given to Mari before she left to tend to the Ranch by herself, he was a present from Mari's mother and, at first, the two didn't get along. Mari was a little weary of him, and Saint wouldn't listen to her commands. One night, during a vicious thunderstorm, Mari brought Saint inside to comfort him, afterwords, the two have been the best of friends.
• Saint is not allowed inside, but prefers outdoors anyway. He hates taking baths and will run away from Mari if she tries to give him one, but he always ends up being caught since he is not fast enough to outrun her yet.
